Looks good but is totally worthless. When sitting next to a calibrated meter this app reads between 15 to 20 dbs too high. Very inaccurate. Wont spend anything for the "pro" version.

Like it. Use it all the time.

I was excited to get a decibel meter on my phone. But quickly discovered that it isnt even close to being accurate. It typically reads much higher than the actual sound levels. Not reliable for an accurate read at all.

Seems to be consistent and picks up really good. Overall its a good app

Not a single sound turn on ceiling fan it show over 65 promise the ceiling fan isnt that loud. Not accurate

Registers 79 db with mic covered and no noise at all

This app is very handy. I use this to measure how loud A particular area is to determine if its required to wear your plugs or not so that I dont cause anymore damage to my ears; because theyre bad enough already. I wish I had this when I was younger, much much younger.

Seems to be well-designed and responsive, but the scale is WAY off. In a quiet room its reading 80, and normal conversation bumps it to 120. It needs a calibrate function.

Measured a regular conversation at 90-100 dbs. Not accurate at all. Would not recommend.

i would like to see ability to take a picture of the object making the sound with meter readings displayed on or below the picture (i.e. cars with no mufflers and motor cycles)

A neighbours had an air conditioner compressor installed just on the property line. The sound level forced us to stay inside the house. Rather than starting an argument with my neighbour, I printed the sound regulation of 70db, downloaded this app and review the results with the neighbour and his installer. They then moved the compressor and all is good with the neighbour! Thank greatly to this app and its ease of use.

I used it to measure how loud my dishwasher was and how it compared to db rating of new ones. Definitely getting a new one.

Measures 30-40 dB too high in comparison to other meters.
